Three years ago, a young woman saved Ben Leigh from a fire, but he lost both his legs despite surviving the crisis. Years later, he becomes the CEO of a company, while the woman, named Kate Shaw, is forced by her parents to marry him. Right after their marriage, Kate witnesses Ben being bullied by his stepmother. She immediately intervenes and protects him. Despite feeling happy to be protected, Ben stops her and asks her to reconcile with his stepmother.
