After a night of passion with Stella Wart, Max Hanson leaves home to start a new business. Months later, Stella gives birth to their daughter. Five years pass before the two meet again at a factory, but neither recognizes the other. Max mistakenly believes another woman is his partner. As misunderstandings unfold, Max consistently steps in to protect Stella from being bullied at the factory.
